We got a Bumbo seat for our lo for Christmas and he just loves it! I can put him on the counter top while I'm in the kitchen doing stuff and I can talk to him face to face. We just recently started feeding him solids, so we got the tray as well and now he loves it even more. Have you had a good experience with it? does your lo like it? p.s. Being sitting down in his bumbo helps him go poopie when he needs a bit of help.

I don't have a Bumbo for my daughter because they make me a little nervous. The 6 month old little boy that I used to nanny for fell out of his Bumbo seat. His mom had him on the kitchen counter feeding him, and she walked about 6 feet away to get the phone and he fell out and hit his head on the wood floor. If I had one I would not put it on the counter, but it still makes me nervous after hearing about that. I can see how they can be a great thing though.

I heard that same story or a similar one on the baby board I frequently visit. And all I can say is that you ALWAYS have to watch your lo's, even if they're strapped in. Besides, I don't think it's a good Idea to leave the lo on the kitchen counter unattended. But on another note, the more active babies can fall back (arching their backs) or forward (leaning too far) and hurt themselves. My lo has tried it a few times and it sure has scared me when he's done it.

My son loves his bumbo!! I started putting him in it at about 3 weeks biut only for short periods of a time. He is now almost 3 months old and still loves it. It's a great thing to have for little ones.

It is a great thing to have for the little ones. I would say that the bumbo has helped my lo sit up by himself. I know a few people would disagree, but i def. refer it to all new mothers I meet.
