A Dragon's Dream

A Dragon’s Dream I dream a dream of soaring through the clouds, looking down from above. I watch as the land blurs by, checkerboard fields appearing and dissapearing. I feel the wind against my skin, and whistling through my ears. Banking and rolling, I frolic in the sky. Twisting and turning do I fly. Onward, upward, spirals and loops. Carefree, careless, just needing to fly. Cities and towns, dotting the ground, blights upon my eye. Rivers and forests I do spy. Dipping and diving for a closer look, lions and tigers and bears, OH my, what have I found? A place untouched, unchanged by time, I sigh a little sigh. Up up and away, searching for more, here and there, and everywhere. Riding currents of air I glide, basking with the feel of the sun upon my back. I glimpse a shadow to my left, a line of darkness coming near. I bank and race, the darkness following close. Racing and outpacing the darkness I fear. Laughing with glee, I turn to face that wall of shadow and darkness. Sunset washes over me, but I do not fear, not even nature can catch me unless it is my wish - so many stars, each with their own wish I see. I dream the Dragon's dream, the dream of being free.

This one is very good. I like it a lot. I little deeper than I anticipated. Although, it is a shame that there are so many other people that won't understand it all the way. GOOD ONE!!!

Are you saying there are a lot of shallow people out there, that you have to draw a road map to understanding? :D
