The song "ME, I'm Not" is becoming my #1 track of this record. I've sent a "whif" of it to all my friends, cept for one..just sounds EVIL!! :) I really admire his creativity how does he do that??!

Love it! My boyfriend picked it up Thursday night, and we listened to it almost right away. It's definitely got some stuff that reminds me of earlier albums, but it's got a unique sound to it as well. Definitely what I like in a NIN album! Also, the fact that the CD changes colors when it gets warm is just a neat little trick!

Hey another NIN fan!! thanks for the comment :D You're right about NIN mixing the old and new...I hear traces of closer and a few samples he used in the fragile and the downward spiral. Yet after 2 albums, NIN haven't topped his ultimate masterpiece "closer", which is the the best song I ever heard in my entire life. I love year zero totally!

I haven't bought it yet but I went to their website last night and listened to some of their new music. It sounds pretty freaking awesome. I'll probably have to go get the cd pretty soon, especially hearing the good review from you.

Well I just played it in my car yesterday and the windows began to vibrate... you can expect how cool and vibrant the songs are. They are ALL bloody good, I cannot decide which one to pick as my fav. lol

I thought it was amazing when it came out as well. I had been out of the nin loop for a little bit, and a friend that was not much of a nails fan was talking of it, and I thought they were talking about "with teeth" when talking of the "new album". Then the Slip came out seemingly so close after.. and then Ghosts... amazing.

i've heard some of it. i honestly think it sucks. at times it's reminecent of Broken's sound but a stagnant version of it. just the titles of these songs are somewhat comical to me. since when was NIN ever about war or politics? i wouldn't be surprised if the next album had a song about high gasoline prices. it seems like he just decided over night that he was going to try to become relevant to a new generation by singing about current events. mid-life crisis, perhaps?

I thought it was a good cd, it was better than With Teeth, which wasnt bad either. Bit it is nothing compared to The downward spiral, The Fragile, Broken, and Pretty Hate Machine

I ahve heard of the new album but to be honest held off on buying it. I loved his older stuff. Then it became somewhat redundant. Don't get me wrong, he is an amazing visionary and extremely original! He blends industrial and surreal so well and makes it sound so good but after awhile his albums became the same thing over and over. But I will go out and buy this album because I ahve all of the rest and don't want to stop collecting! Thanks! I'll have to get back to you on what i think of the music though.
