gnomes have you got any in your garden ?

garden gnomes love them or hate them...there are out there.. and some people have loads of them in the garden.....
do you love them or hate them ? are they a british thing.. or have other people around the world got them in their garden ?
do you show them off proudly or do you half hide them amoungst your plants....?
do you think people are sad by having gnomes in their garden ?
i must admit... i am a secret admirer of gnomes.... and i would love to have one in my garden....

I have a gnome hiding under a few plants at the moment. Also it's in the back garden out of view!! I personally like them as they add a bit of decoration to, in my case, an otherwise boring garden. They also scare off the birds funnily enough! Cat's not too happy about that though....
