Is the Last harry potter book really smaller than the first???

The American edition will be 784 pages and comes out on July 21st. I preordered mine a while back, as soon as it was available for preorder.

Very untrue. The last book is 794 (rough guess, around that) pages, its the second largest book after Order of the Phoenix and has been confirmed by the publisher that the release date is 21/07/07. The UK edition has less pages however the same amount of content, the UK edition lacks chapter pages and also has a smaller font.

there's no way it would be smaller than the first one, the first one was really quite short. I heard on the news (or somewhere) that is going to be the 2nd longest book in the series, so will be longer than the last one, but shorter than the Order of the Phoenix :) Only a couple more months to go now, can't wait!

i think compare to previous book that have around 800 pages, 600 pages is quite considerably smaller.

HAH! smaller! I highly doubt it! Rowling's hasn't written anything small (even the 1st book was a nice length) and all of her books have only gotten bigger... whoever you heard that from is just weird

definetly not... the first book is too small...it will be bigger than hp3...and it may b bigger thn hp4 and 6

i don't know about i don't read harry potters books i have no idea about that.

its going to be about 784 pages long i went to walmart.com and it gives u a disciption of the book including length but there not selling it yet just getting a waiting list for those who want to buy it before to get it without the chance opf it being sold out(preordering)so dont get upset it will be good and long and plus her books get longer not shorter and harry still has to fight voldemort not to mention figure out all the horcruxes and the mistories she wrote that should be answered!!
