How you salute your friends when you meet them? Are you prefer hold, kiss or handshake them?Or do nothing except saying a simple*HI*? And of course why you prefer this way and is it always with all your friends same or deepens to the friend? PS: I mean friends not people just you know them....

i usually say HELLO or HI to the acquaintances (not so close). however for very close friends i would hug and pat on the cheeks and may be kiss even. but then, this would be for girls ( i am a female). for male friends i would just say a cordial, sincere HI, WHAT'S UP? even if, i am not being exuberant, my friends will know that i need them no matter what. they are special just as you are. thanx. PS: my country finds it against decorum to hug or kiss someone of opposite gender.

Hi there.. :) I was quite busy that's why I was unable to reply to discussions that much.. :) When I meet a friend on a public place or anywhere else, a smile and a "hi" would be the start. If it would be a very close friend then we would take the time to talk and ask how each other is doing but if it would be a friend from high school or just an acquaintance from before, it would depend on how they would approach me but I would definitely greet them.

Normaly gesture would be shaking hands when you meet your dear friends. It is a common gesture... which is done by me whenever I meet my friend. When you are standing far... from your friend and you wish to convey your greetings.... you will waive your hand and shout 'Hi'. If I am meeting a very close friend... hugging can be another option to wish him.

when i meet real friends, not acquaintances, i'd kiss and hug them (girls)or just hug them (guys). if i really miss that person and we haven't seen or talked with each other for a long time, i'd hug them tight.

Hello.aidonia.When I meet a friend ,most of the time I wil ljust say hello and how are you,it seems that women do not really like to shake hands, they may prefer to hug and kiss rather than shake hands, but I will only hug and kiss when I see some friends that I have not seen for long time. Simply say hello and how are you is the best as some peopl may prefer you not to touch them or you will scare them in doing so.

It depends on the degree of closeness, most of the time I kiss and embrace them especially my high school barkadas whom I met last December, I really miss them all and when I saw them my heart was overflowing.

Well most of my friends that I normally see everyday when we see each other we just say hi. But on the other hand if I haven't seen them in a while I will give them a hug. Depends on who it is, but mostly just a hi.

It depends. With my "ethnic" friends, especially when i don't see them everyday, we kiss on the cheek. I don't shake hands with a friend, or anyone else for that matter unless I am meeting them for the first time, usually in work situations.

I always give my friends a hug. A kiss on the cheek also. They are very dear people to me and that is the way I am. I like to show them how special they are and this is the way I do so.

well if they are friends, i don't give them only a handshake...I mean, handshake is for people you just happen to know a little or for strangers... when I meet a friend, I give her or him a hug, a great hug if we it is ages since we saw last time...and when we separate, we exchange a hug and two little kisses on each cheek...here in Rome they are very ...expansive...and they are used to greeting each others with kisses even if they are perfect strangers...when I first come to Rome, I was young and even shier than I am now and you can imagine how embarrassed I was when my schoolmates at Unversity wanted to great me with hugs and kisses...one of these became a great friend of mine and was the one who explained to me that it was natural in Rome doing this and when recalling the first days we met, he used to laugh and laugh at me and at how much shy I was

For most of my friends, I usually give them a hug or a kiss. If we haven't met for a long time, missed each other so much, it will be a tighter and longer hug...plus an endless chat!!!! :)

For some friends, I have a unique way of greeting them. "You still around" and then we will laugh it off. For some, it will be just be some wierd facial expression - I do not know how to describe it here. Definitely not a monkey face :P

Back then when I was still living in Tahiti, French Polynesia. We had the "la bisse", they say in french. The left and right cheek were kissed as a form of greeting. With almost everyone, friends, family, even if you were not friends yet. (^^,LOL) But here in the Philippines, a handshake is seldom used between ordinary connaisance, but for your colleagues and co-employees, it is quite usual to have a handshake. And for my friends, guys not included (^^,LOL), it's a hug and kiss greeting. For the guys, hmmm?! A strong tap on the back or on the shoulder, (^^,LOL) accompanied with a "Hi, how are you?". Have a nice day my friend! *hugz* Take care! (^^,)

When I meet new friends, I give them a handshake. I dont have to hug someone who has not to know yet. I give them handshake. It's wrong even giving them handshake - you have to wait for the girl to give you her hand for shake. By this, you are exhibiting good ethiqquete.
