I cant get my video from my phone to my laptop

I've tried everything and nothing is working. When I plug in the USB cable nothing happens. I tried opening the photo viewer and the pics/videos dont show up. I tried emailing them from my phone but keep getting some error. Any ideas? Anyone good with this stuff!? Help! I really want this video on my laptop-i have an apple macbook computer and motorola razr v3 if that matters, thanks
