Do you have a study habit when you were still at school?

During my high school years, I was among the Top10 in class. I had good scholastic records and would always top during examinations. I can say that was due to my study habit which I practiced during those times. Every night, I always spare time to study by scanning my notes and reviewing some important things from the books. However, my college years was kinda different. Those days made me lazy. lol. I don't feel like studying every night anymore. I only study when examinations is already fast approaching. I only jot down notes if it's a major subject. But when it's only a minor, I won't give a damn. I don't even buy all the necessary books. I only buy accounting books since accounting is what I have majored in college. The rest, duh! I just photocopy them. :) How about you? I wanna know if we share the same experiences with our study habits or not. :)

Till my 9th grade, i concentrated more on lectures and academic discussions than on reading books and i still remained in top 3 students of my class, coming third only once in my 6th grade and that was a real emotional blow to me. In 10th grade, i really concentrated on reading Academic books and other related material, going through them thoroughly again and again. During all these years, i won many distinctions including a presidential award in my 9th grade. By 11th grade, i had come to conclusion that life is too multifaceted and diverse to limit my reading to acedemic books. I diversified my reading to politics, sociology, psychology, history and economics apart from my academic literature, thus making my academic reading only a small fraction of my total comprehension. I retained the same proportion in my engineering studies relying more on lectures, discussions, thinking and analysis. Probably this has been the reason that i have been scoring best in viva exams, interviews and competitions.

Between me and my exams is love and hate. I hate it because it makes me always nervous in the beginning, I love it bacause means my study is almost over and I can go to next level and see another different grumpy teachers...hehehe. Seriously, I only study hard when it comes to final exams, everything that I learned in a year I'll try to make it stay in my brain the last 3 days. What I love too, I'd be study with couple of friends of mine (we spend the night at my friends house)...so, 2 hours learning, 3 hours break time...hehehe..... Love those memories when I was back school, university, I certainly had a good time.

I have a study habit that made me one of the promising and good student in school until I graduated as a Medical Technologist. But I would say my study habit is not good but effective for me. I am used to it. When I was in college, my study habit peak hour is fom 12am-5am.. Which is not good because that is the resting hour.. But I sleep from 7pm til 12am... there are times that I go back to sleep around 3am or 4am... But now that I am in my second course which is Nursing course, I started changing my study habit. I study everytime I have a vacant time inside the library, then when I get home, I eat my dinner and watch TV for an hour. Start reading and studying around 8pm then go to sleep around 2am or 3am.

During high school, I only review on the day of the exam. During final exams, I review the day before. Now, in college, I still do the same. I don't listen to the professors the don't even know what they are teaching so I always get the "passing mark" in minor subjects. I also don't buy books, and I only photocopy when I'm about to fail a subject but sometimes I don't read the photocopied materials. :)

I don't study at all since most of my exams involve painting or sculpture-making. But I only have one class I really have to study for: Art History's History...not really my major but it's worth studying hard for since I have nothing else to study, right? Plus, I want a decent GPA as well. Hahaha!

Well me when I was in my high school years my study habit was doing my assignments every night and if there's left I also doing research for a lesson that will be tackle for the next day in that way I was so prepared everyday for discussion and that earned me some good response and respect among my co-students and most of all my teachers. I was always reading a other books related to our subject and not only relying with the text book that our school was using because I was believing that teachers only relying on books so if I want to earn their respect I should read other books that I suppose they didn't read so I had more knowledge to impart with them.
