how good are you in psychology?

I have misjudged some people in my life.It has happened many times.
There are people who I regard as very honest and sincere just because they have been very polite to me and they have let me down .
So I can say that i get a ZERO in psychology.
How can I protect myself from people who are smiling to me and are very polite?
Has it ever happened to you?

I have a friend who keeps telling me that she would never lie to me because I have a "crap" radar on top of my head and I would know that she is lying. LOL. Of course that is just my personality and I will let most people know that they are full of it if necessary. If you think you are going to meet someone who will not let you down sometime in your life you are kidding yourself. I am not saying that everyone will always let you down because they won't but everyone will let you down sometime. Lets face it we are only human after all.

well i think good psychology depends on our perspective but since we have different perspective in life, and the way we deal with our life, you can protect yourself just from being true, and most, from having respect to yourself and others as well, caouse if you do, you'll never be affected by their fake smiles and stupid lies anymore.. :)
