Do you believe in those motivational speakers or are they just bogus talkers?

I read a lot of self help and listen to motivational speakers. A lot of what they say makes sense, but sometimes I wonder if they were just saying it to make money or do they really want to help?

I think it is a bit of both, nobody does anything in life if they are not motivated by something, if they don't see a reason, or a need or have a want to do it, they will not. motivational talks help you to get motivated to something you thought about but just don't have the umph to go out and do.

I agree. Effort is required to accomplish the goals, and action is always the key.

I have often wondered that myself. I know everyone has to make a living. But at the same time...are they just in it for the money? Yes, often, they do make sense...and sometimes I sit there saying, "Well, duh." LOL I guess those types of self helps aren't much help for me, huh? ha ha But I am like you, I wonder if they truly want to help people. Did they start out just wanting to help? And at some point they became money hungry? Or are they just good persuasive speakers? Do they really believe what they say and practice what they preach? Or is it all smoke and mirrors? I have yet to figure it out. So, most of the time, I end up staying away from them.
