does your closet seem like the bermuda triangle or a black hole — clothes go in, but they never come out? have you experienced looking for a certain shirt for house but never seem to find it? how often do you fix your clothes? how do you organize your closet? do you maximize all spaces? what i do is i keep all my shirts together and fix them according to color, like all white shirt goes together and pink clothes together. in terms of shoes, i never throw the boxes because i put my shoes back inside it if i don't use it. i put it in layer, where the shoes i often used usually stays up while my favorite pairs stays near the floor. a well-organized closet makes it easier to locate the clothes and shoes you need.

I don't really manage it. I just hang the clothes side by side and push everything together. Not much of a choice since there is too little space. I do try to separate the tops from the bottoms though so that I can find them easier when I need to.

Shoes in the closet - Closet is a place where clothes, shoes, hats, and other accessories are placed. It is nice to see a clean closet like this one in the picture.
It's a good thing my mom arrange my closet for me. Anyways, I don't think it's a problem with her since I don't have a lot of clothes. Her problem with me is my shoes and flipflops. I seem to forget to return them to their box. Ahh! If you could only see my room, my shoes are everywhere. Most of the times I'll be looking for the other pair because I can't find the other one. I can't ask the missing pair to my mom because she will surely get mad at me for not arranging my shoes.

My problem is that I keep having large weight losses then slow weight gains back! I have clothes in so many sizes! I have bunched them by size and moved them to other closets, the garage, the attic. I hate to have to go buy new clothes each time that I change sizes! (I know, get the weight off and keep it off!) My husband swears that soon he will need to buy a second home just for clothes!

I have yet to see a closet over here in Scotland. It is a nightmare for us American women when we move over. They have wardrobes and there is little room for much of anything. I had 2 walk-in closets in Alaska. I had plenty of room for all my clothes and boots. Here, I am still living out of boxes, well rubbermaid actually. It's hard to remember which box has what in it. I have 2 wardrobes here and they are not very big. The majority of my clothes are stuffed in there. One is used for sweaters and blazers and fleeces. The other one I keep my shirts, pants and various tops in. They are both stuffed to the rafters. I do wear all my clothes throughout the year. I don't even have all my stuff over here yet.

I mainly wear white or grey shirts so I really don't have a problem finding what I am looking for. My partner is another story. I use to try yot organize his area of the closet so he wouldn't come ask me where certain shirts were but he won't leavee closet the way I set it up so I just gave up. Now if he asks me where a certain shirt is I tell him if he can't find it in the closet I must have donated it.

lol! my partner does the same. what i do now is bring out his clothes for him. it's better that way, since i don't like fixing his closet all over again. thanks for the thought.

All my house clothes are folded while my nice clothes are hung. I divide it into 2 sections, all tops are together divided to casual and formal same with the pants. Inside my cabinet are drawers , on top are my undies, 2nd layer socks and swim gear, third layer my other stuff. I have a big shoe rack for my shoes ('am a shoeholic). My belts and bags are hung in a separate cabinet. I organize my stuff pretty well for I don't have that much luxury of time to look for missing objects especially on a spur of the moment thing.

Previously, I had two halves to my closet. One was for work clothes, and the other was for casual clothes. In the work clothes section, I had all of my shirts organized by color, then all of my pants, skirts, and dresses hanging in groups, but not by color. In the casual clothes section, I had a portion for my special casual clothes (things like corsets and tulle skirts) and then a portion for my T-shirts, with the long sleeved T-shirts in the back. I also had a dresser for all of my jeans, shorts, and undergarments. We will hopefully be moving into an apartment with twice the old closet space, so I'm sure I will do some rearranging of my clothes when they arrive!

I have everything arranged by color and start with my ties and move up to my suits and stuff.
