do you think its hip and trendy to be thrifty, moneysaving, or just tight..

over the last few years i have started being really thrifty with my money and my shopping etc.... i use every last drop of things... and then still see if i can get one last drop out of it..... i cook from scratch.....i have started growing some veg etc..... and only light the coal fire at the last resort... when a extra jumper and blanket isnt enough to keep warm.... before if you were thrifty.... you were known as tight or mean..... but now it seems to be the new in thing.... as it is now being known as you are being resorcefull.. or being green....
