Are you divorced?

My husband and I are separated right now but am trying to work things out and fix the problems that we had. I told him that I married him for a lifetime, not just a few years and I was willing to do what it took to try to fix things!

I am. I was married at 18 & he was abusive. No kids though.

No, and I hope not to ever be dvorced. My parents were divorced and it was very difficult on my whole family and still is at times.

I feel that divorce should be a last resort. I did do everything to try to avoid that but my spouse didn't want to try. No children were involved in this divorce so that was one less thing to worry about. I got divorced because my spouse became overly controlling as to who I could be friends with, what I could wear, calling me if he thought I was gone grocery shopping longer than he thought it should take with "where are you, who are you with" type of questions. I never did that to him.
