hello fellow myLotters, i have another computer in another room that i'd like to share my internet connection with wirelessly. Has anyone else done this before? its like a network only wireless. What type of device do i need? will the distance away affect the speed? Please help as i am a bit uneducated with computers.

try linksys wireless/router its cheap and easy to configure and manage. when you have this already, be sure to secure your network so others could not connect to the internet using your connectivity.

You would need a wireless router to be connected directly to your broadband and your two computers would need a wireless lan card each for them to connect wirelessly to the router. I would recommend a D-link wireless router since it has 4 wired lan port and a wireless access point to wireless connection and it is easy to configure. Hope this help you.
