How are you going to handle children that are bratts? Or how can we prevent spoiling children?

If you come across a bratty child and you know the parents, talk to their parents about it so the child may be disciplined by the parents. The parents must be reminded that the best way to deal with it will be to talk to the child lengthily about his bad behavior, rather than to give spankings outright. Spankings may follow only after he is made to understand fully regarding his mistakes/wrong behavior. Parents will have to be told this because, most of them do not know how to handle problems like this. As for those whom you do not know at all, just shake them off or avoid their presence. If you want to not spoil kids and keep them well disciplined, it is easy. Never give in to all of their whinings and demands. Give them only what they need. Always have the time to talk to them and explain things. Children who continuously receive advises from their elders grow up full of wisdom, loving, caring and patient. You will be highly rewarded for all your efforts. Never forget to tell them how much you love them at all appropriate moments. This is best done upon seeing them wake up in the mornings and whenever we tuck them in bed for the night. Happy parenting and disciplining.

I have the same problem with my nephew. He is my twinsister's son. My twinsister have almost given up when I came to the rescue.. And it is very effective. Everytime he does something the bratt he is, I would let him FACE THE WALL for 15 minutes- STANDING. I tell you, he would do anything to get out of there like: he would call his grandma (stop the Grandma right away and tell her it is a discipline), he would call his Mom (control the Mom, let her stay inside her room), call the Aunties and Uncles (STOP THEM), he would say he needs to go to the Bathroom, tell him to do the thing there, he would say he is hungry, tell him he can eat after 15 minutes, he would say his legs hurts, tell him he cannot sit-down..... It really worked!!! He is not as bratt as he was before.. He is more disciplined now... I still do this but barely now.... Try it, i hope it works with you...
