Does anyone besides myself get really annoyed when dining out, only to have to sit and listen to bawling kids that always seem to be seated right next to your table?

We usually go to family restaurants, so it's to be expected. Children, especially toddlers may have a hard time communicating, so they cry or act out. We rarely go out to eat, this is one of the reasons why since my son is one of those toddlers ;) He's getting much better lately since I've been taking him out in public about everyday to teach him what's acceptable.

well since i am the one with the 4 crazy kids..no it doesnt bother me to see other kids in a restaurant. get used to it. kids have just as much right to be there as you. and most of us parents cant find a good sitter so we could go out without them. but on the other hand..i feel your pain. but if you are going to a family type restaurant, then you have to put up with other peoples brats. just be glad that you arent sitting with them. that is a whole other discussion..lol

Believe me the parents are probably just as annoyed as you. I remember taking my daughter out when she was younger and she would whine, cry, act up and I was so embarrassed. We have actually left restaurants because she wouldn't stop. The thing is if we don't take our kids out then they will never learn how to behave in those situations. I know it sucks cause when I am out alone with my boyfriend all we want is a nice place without hearing screaming kids cause we hear that at home but I guess this is life and it's not going to change. When you have kids you'll completely understand:)
