Is Paris Hilton Reason Enough To Keep The Death Penalty Legal?

In theory I oppose the death penalty because it makes no sense to say killing is wrong and then to punish people by killing them. And I won't even mention the disproportionate application of the death penalty. But then tonight as I was channel flipping I caught a snippet of Paris Hilton and I started re-thinking my stance. Paris is obviously getting bored and her star is beginning to fade. It's only a matter of time before she's forced to kill someone to stay in the headlines. And when that day comes shouldn't we as a society be able to finally have our revenge? After all we've put up with her and her inane friends for years now. I'll admit part of my reasoning is that I'm ashamed that I even know who she is, and maybe by cleansing the world of her I will be able to clear my conscience as well. But whatever my reasoning enough is a enough. Since when did we, Americans, start celebrating mediocrity anyway? The girl can't even read and write! What do you think?

i believe that mediocrity is the norm now for the young people in this country. I believe that birds of a feather flock together. I also think there are a lot of folks out there who are really smart but choose to act as if they aren't for fear they will be ridiculed and cast out of their group. In theory, I oppose Paris Hilton.

I agree with this as there seems to be an increasing amount of famous young women who are famous for being dumb. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are the top of this list and Jessica Simpson would not be to far behind. I think a lot of their dumb behavour is put on and done for publicity, but who would want that kind of publicty?! I hate the thought that some young girls idolize and try to be like these women, it is quite sad.
