control over materialistic attitude of man

What I believe that all the problems of the world are arising out of the extreme materialistic mentality of modern people. They are not satified ever. And for achieving success in their vetures, they start harming others. There is competition for all the resources be it money or other material resources. IOf we could curb this extreme feeling of materialistic mentality, I believe we could live a tension free which is free of many modern ills. What do you think ?

Yes, I agree, people tend to focus on having more of this, more of that and end up neglecting their loved ones in the quest for success which is again measured in terms of money.
