I was just watching the news and I heard that they are still talking about the shooting in America. I believe that the media cover of American events are overated. It is almost like the world stops because there is a major event in American. Don't get me wrong. It is a bad thing that happened over there and I feel for the people that lost their lives because of a crazy person on a rampage. My point here is this. I feel that they should not spend so much news time on the events on overseas as much. Sure tell us what is going on over there. We need to know what is going on in the world but, isn't it more important to know what is going on right here in your own country. I live in Australia and like to get news about Australia. At the moment there has been a little bit of news on Australia and the main part of the news is about the shooting. Is there anybody out there that feels the same as I do? Please give me you opinions on this issue. It will be greatly appreciated.

Yes I have been watching the news lately and yes they always go on and on about anything there regarding anything that occurs like this it does drive me crazy to hear this over and over again. It was a tragic event that did take place, but the media always do this to us. I agree with you that we really want to know what is going on with our own country and lately we do not get enough that is my opinion. Yes I do feel the same about the news. I also will be giving you an a + rating for this discussion as I think exactly what you are saying here.

Thank you for the reply. The 911 telecast was worse. it went on for weeks but still it was a major event. Maybe we might be able to get local news one day. haha
