When I was a kid, I rememer having a blanket which I carry everwhere. I refused to let my mom clean it when it was dirty and smelly. I don't have it now. How about you? Do you have a blanket or something you hold on to?

I don't remember having a favourite blanket. I know I read about quilts in books and I always wanted one but my grandmother said they were old fashioned and she didn't like them so I never had one.

No, I didn't have a blanket growing up. But maybe if I had, maybe I would have been a more secure child. But my children have had their blankies. :) And yes, there were times that I would have to sneak them away to wash them also. Once, my daughter lost her's somewhere and we couldn't find it anywhere! So, we actually had to go out and buy another one that looked exactly like it. LOL I even have one of my kids blankies saved away. Oh boy! He was so attached to that blanket, we swore that he was going to be 30 and still attached to it. ha ha but I am happy to say, his old blanket is now stored away in a truck. :)

I didn't have a blanket, but a teddy bear. Teddy got lost when I was six years old, and I remember being so upset that my mother couldn't comfort me. My grandmother made me a new teddy bear, but it wasn't the same, and at that age, I couldn't appreciate her efforts to make me feel better. All I knew was that my beloved Teddy was gone, and he must have been so lonely. At least that was my thinking at the time.

Yes I had a blankey. His name was/is Mr. Blankey. He was yellow with Satin trimming. It was the blanket that the hospital wrapped me in-the one I came home from the hospital in. To this day he is still up in the corner of my bed and if I have a tough day or if I am sad and crying I hold Mr. Blankey. Yup, I'm 26yrs old and compeltely unashamedly admitting that I have a blankey lol. There are 2 burn marks on him from when he accidentally got thrown on the toaster in the morning before school. He has lost all of his satin trimming and is now see threw but, I will keep him for as long as I can. I hope to be buried with it. I think it's a piece of history for me. I was like Linus. I never went ANYWHERE without my blankey as a kid. Even to the grocery store with my mom!

Well, not a blanket but a toy rabbit that I used to hold up to my nose. I still have it, but dont hold it up to my nose anymore as I'm 38 and it would look odd!
