I actually have a question about an anxiety remedy that I heard of. It is called Kava Kava. However I am sure that it is not the end all, be all for any kind of fail-safe remedy. I am still having a problem with anxiety and I am willing to accept any advice or help. Also some herbal roots have been considered. Anyone know of any of these or properties thereof that you can advise me with.

Anxiety is especially difficult to deal with..have you seen a physician??? There are many good pharmacuelogical remedies out there. For an over the counter medications, have you tried "St. John's Wart"? Most of the poeple who suffer from anxiety have varying symptoms....so what are your symptoms? Does life in general stress you out? or are you going through some particular difficult situation? Have you had problems with anxiety all of your life or is this new to you.... I do not know about Kava Kava but beware alot of the over the counter remedies are not regulated and therefore, you can not be sure of the purety of the ingredients. I would sugguest that you seek advice from your family physician....they are your best sourceof information about these types of problems.....sometimes (like in my case) I was able to take a small amount of an anti-anxiety mediacation for a short time when things are especially difficult for me to deal with and then wa able to stop taking them. I wish you the best of luck with this situation as anxiety can make you feel worse about yourself in that you know you are having trouble coping but you just can not rationalize the thoughts in your head...or calm down enough to think things through. I have requested that you be added to my friends list, please feel free to send me a message if you need to talk to someone. Blessed be, my friend.

Thank you so much for your heart felt sympathy. I'd have to say that you have a point about varied symptoms. I guess I'd have to say that it is with me all of the time. From surnrise to sunset, especially out in public, I seem to get hyped up quickly. I can't stand it. I don't really suffer from panic attacks, luckily, but anxiety is still hard to deal with on a regular basis. Sometimes I get nervous and can't do things the way I want to. That is why I was hoping there was some kind of safe remedy over the counter or herbal substance out there to help me like Kava Kava or St. John's Wart.

First of all, you are most welcome. I am trying to help! It sounds to me like you may need just a low dose medication continuueally.....as your anxiety level remains constant. It appears that the anxiety interferes with your daily activities of life....so please, if you cannot find an over the counter medication that works for you......please go to the doctor. Your quality of life would be so much better improved! Also, remember as you are trying these medications; that many of them take 4-6 weeks of taking them BEFORE you begin to "feel" the effects. If you are starting one med and then changing it becuase you do not "feel better" then you are short-changing the medication and are not giving it enough time to work. Please take care of yourself, and my offer to talk via messages stands...Blessed be, my friend.
