Kungfu vs. karate? I think Karate is just one of the 1000 styles of kungfu so why need to choose between those two? Karate has been developed by the japanese which is from the original influence of Kungfu in China. If i am going to learn martial arts i prefer learning kungfu because it has a lots of techniques than karate. You were using different forces to defeat your enemy or protect yourself.

Well for me I like them both, they have unique styles that are specific for the form, power, endurance, stability, and flexibility. It is the person who is doing the techniques on whatever art he or she is using. There is no superior martial arts.

No single art is superior to the other there will always be a flaw to each one but the best thing is to cross train and take what best suits you, see martial arts is a personal interpretation different from each others pratitioner even if they learned that same art they will not fight as the same. I learned karate and also did Judo, BJJ, MMA, boxing, and Kali, arnis is our main art here in the Philippines and i think it is very good considering lots of military elite forces use it in there training.

I do both karate and kung fu, and i find karate has become to much of a sport. The training in kung fu is more hands on and more physically demanding, but i assume it also has to do with my kung fu class being made up of only four 20 year old guys.

I am a practitioner of Kyoushin Karate, but i have also trainedin other martial arts styles like Wing Chun Kung Fu, Muay Thai Praying Mantis kung fu, jujutsu etc.. No system is the best. It is only the person who learns a system who becomes the best by virtue of his own hard work in training and practice.
