Mary's Lamb

Think carefully about what you will be reading. This is a new one for mee as I have just received this and believe in it's message... Mary had a little Lamb, His fleece was white as snow. And everywhere that Mary went, The Lamb was sure to go. He followed her to school each day, T'wasn't even in the rule. It made the children laugh and play, To have a Lamb at school. And then the rules all changed one day, Illegal it became; To bring the Lamb of God to school, Or even speak His Name! Every day got worse and worse, And days turned into years. Instead of hearing children laugh, We heard gun shots and tears. What must we do to stop the crime, That's in our schools today? Let's let the Lamb come back to school, And teach our kids to pray! Anyone that knows mee knows that I am not a Christian but I do believe that we should allow prayer in school if that is what a child wants to do since the total lack of morality is doing no good for the children nor society in general. Tell mee what you think!!

I am kind of a "lost soul" when it comes to religion and beliefs but I agree with you. People should be allowed to worship the way they want, when they want. I can't see where it would really hurt anything to allow that. But on the other hand, one could say that those that believe in God, believe that He is everywhere no matter what, so by not allowing prayer, you still cannot block God from being there. I hope that didn't come out wrong because I did not mean that in a bad way. Its just been something I have been thinking about.

I do not think that this came out wrong at all. If someone does believe that God is Omnipresent (everywhere at once) then there could be no blocking God from schools. But the act of prayer is the communication with God and thus like talking to your best friend. As I have said many times I am not a "Religious" person but I think that a person should have this right if they want it, is prayer something that should be taught in school?!? No as that would be freedom of Religion and not all people believe the same so if some one wants to pray they should be able to, just not forcing someone into their beliefs such as a princapal praying over the loud speaker. Thank you for the response and have a great day!!!
