what's the best gift?

If I have the money and the time, I would throw a big birthday party for him. I'll invite his old friends that he haven't seen for a long time. Maybe it would be like a family reunion too. If I have limited budget, I would print out a big picture of him or a family pic and I'll have it signed by people that he care about with their birthday message for him. Or I will make a scrapbook with his and the people that he love's pictures in it.

it depends on your dad's interests. sometimes if you just observe him reallly well you'll realize some things he really likes to buy or have. if he goes in an office, a tie would be great, a wallet is a suggestion but most of the time dad's love their wallets that they don't pretty much change it for a long time but if you observe that his wallet is laready torn or in bad shape, it would be nice to surprise him with a new one laying beside his bedside table. if you have a bigger budget, why not purchase an accesory for his fave sport or for the car. even a cd of his long-forgotten favorite singer will make him smile. like me, i've been trying to look for a cd of the artist who sang his fave song
