Sanjaya Malakar has not been one of my top favorite contestants on American Idol this season. I must admit, however, that he is one of the contestants that drew my attention. He seemed to have a knack for making the show interesting. He was the one contestant that you often waited to see what he would come up with next. Sanjaya made his appearance on American Idol a very interesting one. With his perm, his new earrings, his outlandish hairstyles, and the ability to get Paula Abdul to do a little dance with him, he often had a way of putting us on the edge of our seats because we did not know what to expect from him next. I have to admit that I will miss that just a little. He seemed to grow in his confidence right before our eyes, and then last week, when he was voted off, he showed his vunerable side. With tears in his eyes, he still stood strong and smiled at the camera as he sang for the last time on the American Idol stage. Many people did not like Sanjaya, or his style, but he deserves a pat on the back for a game well played.

I must agree with you. He really deserves a pat on the back, well done for him. He may not win the idol but I'm sure he will have a nice future in the entertainment business.

Yeah he did give it a good try in surprizing people and I felt bad when I see him crying also.

I was very Proud of this Native Seattle singer. He truly helped make the Show interesting. I feel that no matter what he chooses to do, he will go far. I just am truly wishing him the Best. And he is definately an original and one to watch for in the Future no matter what he decides to do.
