running in the morning helps to get your blood pumping which has an effect like drinking a cup of coffee. running at night does the same thing, however, it may cause sleep deprivation. depending on your schedule, exercising before starting your day is most beneficial. you get it over with and don't spend the whole day dreading that 30 min. run, or whatever your work out routine may be. the big difference is in the stored sugars. your body naturally stores glycerol (basically sugar) during rest. so, when you wake up, exercising will actually boost that stored sugar and burn it. the results are not tremendously different than running in the afternoon or evening, but hey, every little bit helps! although, if you are running, that's the main priority, so props to you!! good luck in your work out regime!!! :)

I don't run much as I used to do before, actually I hardly ever do it now and if I do I'm not in the same form I used to be because you have to take it gradually after a long break.. Anyway I used to run very early in the morning when I was running regularly and that was the best way for me.
