Buy a car

After seeing mechanic several times I just realised that we should buy a car that our mechanic recommends. I realised that mechanic knows many car secrets. He knows which car is cheaper to maintain, cheaper to fix, and which car is cheaper to run! What do you think?

In my opinion, Toyota Yaris is one of the best for fuel consumption and life time. I got a Toyota Echo and it's real cheap to maintain and real cheap in fuel.

I am not sure about this. In my place peugeot is one of the most expensive car to maintain. Once a small part fails the whole set of thing have to be replaced. Maybe peugeot works well for you, good then..

Working with different cars sure make mechanics know a lot about cars. But I really don't trust them. A few days ago my mother in-law had a little problem with her car and she went to see a mechanic. I think because she was an old woman by herself he told her that it was going to cost her too much to repair it and that it would be better to buy a car. Of course he wanted her to buy a car from him. She called my husband and told him the story and my husband went and took the car to another dealer. He repaired it for $300! Unless you know really well the person and you trust them, there is no guarantee with mechanics. That's just my point of view and I might be wrong. I'm sure there are some mechanics who are honest.

mmm I have this kind of experience too. a mechanic charge me more than it suppose to be, a mechanic suggests I should change something that is still ok etc. but, I have one that i trust, lucky me..
