I am doing a full time job and have handsome salary too. Sometimes I think to earn some extra money but due to my full time job I reamin unable to go for that ammm a lazy one lol. Well, how do you feel about earning extra money while having full time job - serving a part time job or some side business. Are you doing something extra? What is that and how is your experience? Should I go for the same? Any idea? No online job links please ;)

Well, it actually depends if you really need the extra money or not since you mention you are getting a handsome salary from your full time job. I am personally looking for a part time job myself because I want to earn extra. I also have a full time job but the salary is only minimal.. Maybe you could try tutoring kids or baby-sitting if you want a part-time job. Or if you have some extra cash for investment, maybe you can try selling things like a bazaar.

I have experienced that when im still working full time and with an employer and at the same time having part time job in line with my work..it was very stressful for me and i had neglected my family on in terms of quality time that i should give as a mom..its not worth having so much money and youve failed in your home.

Well, of course the part time job would consume your spare time too and your life would get a bit disturbance. Much money at the cost of family suffer!! Point to be pondered!! Thanks for your input too.

HOW DARE YOU EARN EXTRA MONEY WITH A FULL_TIME JOB!!! just kidding ;-). Hey why not earn extra money while you have a job?...you're not hurting anyone - especially here on MyLot. Also by earning money with a side business it will lower your personal tax liability because you can claim deductions. I did my taxes this year and claimed every business deduction that I could just for my online part-time income rendevous. And low and behold I got approximately an additional $800 dollars refund!! Ohh yes it definitely pays to have a business no matter how small (even if you didn't make any money you can still claim a loss...so take advantage of it!) ...Also on a final note, with the job market being so unpredictable you just never really know what will happen; so it's always good to have backup for extra financial security.

Hello, aliasad,I think your full time job should be considered differently if they do not affected each other, the salary is not related in this issue.Every body want to earn extra money, there is nothing wrong with it, if you still have time to work for part time or side business after normal working hours,it is fine, but one should not let their side business dominate over the full time jobw which has a higher priority in any case.

Yes Easy! If full time job is not affected by other activities then one should go for others as well. Priorities must be defined, you are good with comments!! ;) Thanks for response too.

You are doing a full time job and getting handsome salary. it means you do not need to make extra money. this made you busy as well as lazy person. i have no job and student of computer science. therefore i am seeking job on line as well as trying the sites which offer opportunity for earning extra money. Mylot is one of the best.

Usually, the more we earn the more we spend. There is no such thing as enough money. There is nothing wrong with having a side job or business. Many do it. Except, usually the people who make good money work long hours and don't have time for a second job. As for a second job, you might want to work toward your interest or expand out with the talents from your current job. For example, I'm teaching EFL to Taiwanese students. On the side, I tutor one to one, and since my main profession is massage therapy, I massage on weekends. I also do seminars, and lectures at other school. So, there are lots of things to do, all you need is find what you like and or what you're good at. Good luck.

Very well said! Yes, of course the need of money will never to end and how much we earn seems a little due to the expenses aside. Nice to learn about your other part time activities. Thanks for sharing too.

Why would it be unfair to make extra money by working at a part-time job in addition to a full time job. As long as you are not doing your part-time work while you are actually on the clock for your full-time job, I say go for it! I believe that those who have the ambition to work should be rewarded...and if you are ambitious enough to work 2 jobs, then you should be able to enjoy the income of the second job. I work a full time job and a part time job. I teach for a school in a full-time position, and then I teach a couple of classes for another school in a part-time position. I enjoy the extra work and I really do enjoy the extra income. It is the part-time work that allows me to have "extras" in life.

i see nothing wrong with it.a little extra money in the bank for a rainy day never hurts.you never know when a furnace or an appliance will go out,or a heatlh emergency,so it's good to have there.

Before I had my children I use to work a full time job 60 hours a week. At the same time I maintained a second job working another 20 hours per week. I see nothing wrong with working two jobs if you don't have someone else relying on you. I did this for a couple of years just so I had a nice fat savings account.

I think that you should be entitled to making as much money as you want, they don't question billinaires do they. We should be able to make as much money as we want, its our choice. As long as we're not doing anything illegal we should be able to participate in money making endeavours, its just our right.

I think you're free to do whatever legal thing you feel like =D If you ever feel guilty about it, just put some and obviously not all the extra money in for your kid's lunch money (if their cafeteria food's edible...ughhh!) or pop some in a fund raiser or charity of some sort, that's what I would do if I were in that situation...but then again, that's just me XD

If I have the chance to earn extra money, maybe I will have a try. But the premis is that I love the extra work and I have extra energy to fulfill the extra work. As life is limited,we should try to experience different occupations, different experience will enrich our life, broaden our horizon, enlarge our knowelege. We also can make many friends. In fact,my present work is not my dream work, so part-time work which I like will be welcome :)

I don't think it is unfair to try to earn more money whilst you have a well paying job already. I like to earn a bit of extra cash on the internet but I don't do things I dislike, I enjoy writing and most of the stuff I do to earn extra money is related to writing articles, reviews and of course myLot. It is nothing substantial that I earn, it barely makes an impact on my financial situation but it's fun and a way to pass time apart from watching TV. It's not as if I do this extra work and am taking away money from someone who needs it more than me. The extra cash or vouchers or whatever I get is available to anyone who chooses to partake in similar activities, there is more than enough to go around. And if people start complaining that I'm not paying taxes on my extra income - think about it this way. I have to buy a computer and I have to pay for my internet access. The money I make on the side nowhere near covers the cost of these things so I have no guilt. I do have an issue though with people who are claiming unemployment benefit and get free housing and then make lots of money on the side and don't pay tax. I have worked since I was 17 years old and have always paid taxes. I have to pay for my dental treatment and for my prescriptions. If I have eye tests I have to pay for these and if I needed glasses I would have to pay for those too. People who do not work (in the UK) get all of this free. I pay £1400 a year in council tax for a 2 bedroom property and I pay road tax too because I own a car. Therefore I do not feel guilty about earning a few extra pounds on the internet :)

I am doing a full time job which has a very convenient timings from 9.00 a.m to 4.40 pm & hence i reach home by 5 or 5.3 pm so i have enough time to spare.Hence i choose to do some part time jobs.Iam working on 2 online jobs which are genuine paying companies. But i was also scammed by a company and i paid registration fees for joining. So i see that if its a real company and verify whether they have paid money to my referer and then decide because we are putting our efforts and money as investment. My dad is retired and whenever i dont have time to work on my online jobs he will help me.Its an additional income which is really helping me out.

erm.. i think it's very fair to make extra money while having a full time job with a good salary.. why not? if you have the time. .you can do whatever you like with it.. earning money is never an easy thing.. and nobody can judge whether it's fair or not making more money while having a fulltime job.. if you're hardworking enough to work fulltime and having a part time job.. why not? it's your time.. and your hardwork.. you should decide how far you can go. .and not others.. others are just jealous.. and they come up with this fair and unfair thingy... we know this world is very competitive.. so.. in order to survive.. it's very sure that everyone must work hard :)

There's nothing wrong engaging yourself to something extra aside from what you have receive, its a matter of balancing ones time,as long your able to balance your time and that you still deliver good in your work there's nothing wrong with that. And as long you did not jeopardize your career just because of that side business, and as long as your schedule does not interfere with your work. The key word there is balancing and managing one's schedule.
