Were you ever so sleepy that you dozed off in the middle of something?

It just happened to me a while ago. These past few days I've been suffering from lack of sleep. Well, I went to church a while ago and well, when we were kneeling and praying before the communion rights, I was closing my eyes when I've realized that I dozed off. There was this few seconds of random images from my brain like I was dreaming and the next thing I knew, the priest was asking us to stand up. LOL. I don't know if my boyfriend noticed, he would have freaked out. He can't stand people sleeping during mass.

When I was in college I fell asleep in class. I was sitting in the front row and the teacher was standing write in front of me, everyone was taking notes and when my friend woke me up I had noticed i was still writing while I was sleeping. I couldn't make out anything that I had written it was just a bunch of scribble.

LOL. That happened to me too. I was just so sleepy that I didn't realized I nodded off but I was still writing down notes but after that I just couldn't understand what I was wrote!

Well yeah I have done that too. I've done it at night here at my computer. I will fight sleep trying to finish one more discussion or one more email that I need to answer and all of a sudden I find myself nodding off. I hate giving up at night since I work such long hours I want to have some "ME" time at night. So yes- it's shameful to allow ourselves to get that overly tired isn't it? The body needs rest and we continuely insist on depriving ourselves of it. My hubby has sleep as a major priority, he religiously goes to bed at 9:00PM every night (unless we have entertainment obligations or are a party etc.) and he go go goes all day never stops and then about 8:30 I can see him winding down and by golly when he gets tired he goes to bed. Not me... I push it and push it out til I can't do it anymore and then I give up.

Just the other night, I was trying to stay up to watch Morrissey on Jimmy Kimmel. Unfortunately, I was REALLY tired and couldn't keep my eyes open and I ended up falling asleep and completely missed it. :(

I feel asleep at work one time. I had been signing some documents and the next thing I knew was the boss shaking my shoulder and wakening me up, I was so embarrassed but then when we both saw puddle of dribble on the page I was mortified. He was great he laughed and told me to go home early and get a good nights sleep:-)

Yes it happened to me a couple of times while i was working. That was some 4 years back and it was my first job. I had to work whole night and slept around 5 Am in the morning, woke up at around 7 Am and went to attend the training the class which commences at 8 Am. Though i was sleepy i was not supposed to skip the class, i was totally uncomfortable and dozed off a couple of times in the class. The faculty asked me to go have some coffee and come back which made me feel embarrassed. One more time this happened to me recently when i went to a movie with my friend. I didn't sleep whole night and i was not aware that a new movie was releasing that day. I was forced to go to the movie with him even though i was dieing for some sleep. In the theater after the intermission break i just was totally uncomfortable and dozed few times and finally fell asleep. These kind of situations will leave me embarrassed.

This has become a joke amongest or family and friends. My partner and I would go see a movie every Friday night just so that we could get some adult time together. About fifteen to twenty minutes into the movie I would always fall asleep, it never failed. We use to joke that I would pay twenty bucks to be able to take a nap. I still have the same problem watching movies at home. I have to watch a movie several times to be able to see the whole movie.

-lol- this is a bit funny experience for me and i really feel so silly about it. :) the only time i have to do my personal calls and texts is after work when i get home. but usually too tired, sometimes i doze off in the middle of a call (2 times, with an ex-boyfriend) or a text (several times). :) when i woke up in the morning i would just find the text i was composing the night before was not sent because i fell asleep before hitting the "send" button. how silly can that be. :)
