What's your partner's hobby?

I really wish my boyfriend has a hobby. All my other friends does. Either they like cars, video games, sports, collecting toys, gadgets, etc. If he has a hobby, picking a gift for him would be so easy rather than giving him something so usual. I mean, of course watching tv is a hobby but I really can't get him a new television set, I can't even afford to buy my own tv. He's really a practical guy since his family is not too well off, so expensive hobbies aren't really his thing. Sometimes, I want to introduce him to a new hobby but he's really not interested in anything. So, what's your partner's hobby?

My hubby likes video games, and electronics, but not much else. I tell him he needs to get a hobby as well but he just blows me off! He seems to like doing nothing, haha. But really, I think a hobby would do him some good, to get out of the house and away from me and the kids for awhile!

LOL. That's exactly the reason why I want my boyfriend to get a hobby. So that I won't worry about what he's doing when we're not together and that we could spend more time for ourselves.

race cars - Super Late Model and IMCA modified
His hobby is race cars. He builds them, works on them and drives them. His father did it before him and now his oldest son is racing also. Maybe you can get him into a "practical" hobby like cooking or woodworking. Since everyone needs to eat cooking is a great way to provide special dishes for you and his family. If he could get interested in building wood products, he could sell them and earn extra money for himself and family.

I love the cooking idea! That would be perfect for someone to do with little money since everyone has to eat...he can find creative ways to cook her dinner!

My wife's main hobby is collecting snowmen. However, I think you were looking for something for your boyfriend so here is my list. My main hobby is Legos! I also like reading, writing, poetry, music, raquetball, bicycling and walking, stained glass, candlemaking, latch hook rugs, drawing cartoons.

I used to love legos but I really can't make him do anything that involves him buying anything coz he believes that if he's going to spend money, it would be on the necessities and not on hobbies.

Well thats true necessities should come first. I didn't start with legos until I started buying them for my kids. After my kids grew up they didn't want them anymore but I still did. Now they buy me legos as gifts. Cool!

I think my partners hobby is screwing me over financially. He has no idea about being financially responsible.

my boyfriend have lots of hobbies like computers (he's like the guru and technician of all our family and friends), techie stuff, sports - basketball, swimming, running, soccer and other sports, he's also into anime, japanese manga, etc. most of these we share the same passion like anime, basketball and soccer. i think it's great that your boyfriend - and also, you- have some hobby or passion that you can both enjoy and share. maybe you can show him something that's not necessarily expensive - like sports ^_________^

I tried introducing him to computer games but he's not really that hooked on it. I was thinking of buying him a PSP or Gameboy but like I said, he's a practical guy and he wouldn't let me buy it. But I got him to watch friends with me. We finished watching all the seasons on DVD.

My husband loves to go fishing and hunting. I go with him sometimes because they are both fun. My hobby is horses and barrel racing and I think he is starting to get more into horses.

Not much, smoking and bed with me .. which is best hobby of my partner. Watching TV is not hobby, it is habit for killing or passing time and listen news.

My partners hobbies, or should I say, passions, are: soccer, skiing, painting (he paints abstract) and cooking. He is really talented in all these areas too.

And my boyfriend needs fewer hobbies!LOL! Has your boyfriend tried fishing? Mine loves fishing, working on cars, and landscaping. He has already put two beautiful ponds in at our house and plants me gorgeous flowers:) You should tell your boyfriend to get on the ball and plant his beautiful lady some beautiful flowers!

Unfortunately, there isn't a lake anywhere near here and he doesn't have a car to work on, plus he lives in an apartment so landscaping is out of the question. LOL. I would love to have him plant me some flowers though.

My girl friend likes teddy bears collection. Since 3 years i have been gifting her different kinds of teddy bears. I never had this problem of finding it difficult to cope with her hobby and buy her some thing. She do have a hobby of sending some cut short messages on my cell phone and i have a very good collection of such messages which i will share with her.

My boyfriend has several hobbies such as computers and working on cars to name a few. The problem is though you can't pick out a present for him because he is so picky. To buy him any tools you must purchase a certain brand and size of tools. He is like this with everything he owns. Usually I will make him write down several items that he is wanting for his birthday or Christmas presents so that I can pick out something that he would actually want.

I tried asking him what he wants but like I said, he's so practical, he won't even make a list. He always tells me, there's nothing really particular that he likes, just anything. Grrr..makes my job a lot harder. LOL.

I can relate to you. My husband has no hobbies. He gets annoyed with me when I try to introduce him to a hobby. Lately, since our son has been born, he is getting into photography so this may change for me soon. But I completely relate to feeling like it would be easier to buy him things if he had a hobby. I had to finally resolve myself to the fact that watching sports is actually a kind of hobby for him. He likes to get the paper every morning and read about what is going on in the sporting world. I finally learned that there are times of the year when sporting magazines write about the new talent and what all the teams have to look forward to and those can make nice little gifts now and then.

My wife likes reading books, but it's hard to keep up because she reads them in a day or two. She also likes to do things on the internet, but she doesn't spend too much time on there. Other than that our kids keep us busy so we don't always have time for other things.
