It's probably because egold was in maintenance. After reading your post here, I try to login to my egold account and it is ok now. I can login. You can try to register again.

I think this is a e-gold server error. I did not face any problem when signing up on e-gold. E-gold does not required any requirements. Doesn't like paypal need to verify Credit card and Alertpay needs a copy of your ID

I dont think there are any requirements other than that your connection might not be secured or your speed is too slow, as i have registered with them and didnt saw this error yet, and got registered easily without any mishap, but sometimes i got the error the connection is not secure or time out but not this kind of error yet, perhaps you should try again.

Well for me i did not encounter any problem. Maybe you check the system of your computer or the site that your trying to open is just busy. Actually i did the registration just for few minutes. I hope you have registered now.
