the politicians like V.P. Singh, Mayavati and Arjun Singh have done more harm than good to this country in the name of reservation to poor and down trodden.I am not aghat to the reservation but it should not be based on caste & creed. If these politicians really want to do uplift down trodden, they should help them by way of free education, free housing and medical treatment to the families of such people. Even within the upper caste are there are many people who are struggling for their daily livelyhood. Ofcourse, you may ask where from the Govt. brings the required funds? The only answer is that we must cut the size of minitry of States and Central Govt by allocating certain work to the IAS Cadre Officials. In fact they are the people who are doing the services for the nation whereas their political boses are enjoying. In order to show their strength and influence at the cost of the country's exchequer they go on moving by barrivades of A.C. cars from place to place. Why cannot the Govt. curtail such lavish spending of ministers, MPs and MLAs by just providing their one or two escort vehicles? Even the honest and most respected President Dr Abdul Kalam is also silent seeing all these things because our constituion has made him a dummy and he cannot say anything against the anarchy going on in the present Govt. How can this country march forward with this type of corrupt politicians?

Our reservation policy is age-long policy. This must be changed with present scenario. Lot of changes have been taken place, so it is imperative to reform the reservation policies. This must be based on poverty not on the cost. In 60 years, rich has become more rich and poor has become more poor. This gape needs to be filled up otherwise rich persons will be taking the advantage of reservation. You will see that at an average 70% villages where lower cost people are residing, have not been selected for a single government job. Though they are well qualified, then what for reservation. If reservation is there, then village poor and qualified people must be selected for government job, But no. Regarding facilities being provided to MPs etc, this policy is made by them only so there is no chance of changing it. It will continue. Even some MPs utilisie more facilities than actual provided. Till the politics will be in country, corruption will be there.
