Why are we attracted to good looking people?

Why are we attracted to good and beautiful looking peoleple,and not to people with good nature and manners.

Attraction is different for eveyone, I have never gone for the people that other people call attractive, I guess I have always gone for more of a character look, so I guess it must be something inside of us that set something off when we see someone we like, like a vibe or something.

I've never been attracted to "goodlooking" people, rather I'm attracted to people with really nice voices, and the nicer their voices, the better they seem to look!! If a goodlooking guy has a loud arrogant voice, I don't want to be anywhere near him. If an average looking guy has a really sexy voice, he'll look like a star to me.
