Warts.. how to remove?

Ok this is really embarassing but I'll tell you anyway. I have 3 small watrs on my left hand, it started out as just one teensy weensy wart but now they are 3 and really noticeable. My husband told me that he could help me get rid of the warts but the procedure will hurt, I just said ok to get this over with. He got a match, a baby oil and a cotton. First he lit a match and blew out the fire, the part where the match was lit he put on a small piece of cotton and dipped the cotton into the baby oil, then he lit another match to heat the cotton and he then put the heated cotton over my wart to burn it. It hurt like hell but at least now I can see that one of my warts are healing. Once this first warts he treated is gone, he'll burn the 2 remaining warts I have. Does anyone have a home remedy for warts they want to share? Please post them here. Thanks!
