Punk or Emo?

punk was originated and adopted by teens specifically a rock band in america for about a long long years ago(i dont know the specific year but its the 1st one to evolve thus compensating rock genre and a rebellious form of attitude)..while the emo people are behind the subcultural group called goth, goth is their inspiration by the way of dressing thus emo is a copy-cat of gothic people, they tend to be like them but they were not accepted thus creating their own group called 'emo', or emotional hardcore..the 'emo' genre(form of rock genre) begun from the band named 'rites of spring'..emo thus have a sort of very deep feeling thus kissing boy-boy is accepted.btw, punk and goth is the original form thus are cooler than emo coz emo had just copied them

for me emo....is the evolution of punk, especially emo punk..but i think the definition of emo is to WIDE...cause emo have so much influence...

ok i guess i am more ignorant than you. i have never ever heard the word emo. and i know what punk meant 10-15 years ago but i have no idea about it now. i am going to be watching this discussion so i can learn the meaning of the words. this is a very good dicusion.i just hope to learn something

i've asked people about this stuff. the word 'emo' is from 'emotional'. they told me that emo music is hardcore mixed with melodic sound. people who claims to be emo dressess less dramatic than punks. punks looked rebellious in black tight trashy outfits. both are into blacks & eyeliners. emo for me is cooler.
