what do you eat, outside of the cafeteria? I have a mini fridge, a microwave and a shelf, and I have to make dinner for myself each night. What would you do? I recently discovered my fridge can handle keeping Lean Cuisine meals cold enough, and that helps a lot, but any other ideas?

Could you look into investing in a hot plate? My roomie & I have a friend who was, when the roomie meet her, living with a fridge (size unknown) and an electric wok. She got her a hot plate (and the wok went out just after that!) The hot plate let her heat water for things like boiling noodles, then you could make spagetti without the noodles getting gummy. A few yrs ago we got her a microwave. We discovered that if you sent her $ for something she'd spend in on other things. I took the microwave to the post office & when the person behind the counter asked what was in the box, I said - a microwave. That got the 3 people behind the counter, & the other customers around me laughing, they had all been wondering what I was pushing along in that microwave box!
