It's official, Vancouver finally sealed the deal!

As much as I dislike the Stars, I was hoping that they would win against the Canucks. (Sorry Canuck fans) They sealed the deal tonight with their 7th game as Vancouver brought the score 2 to 1 in the final period. After pulling the goalie, Dallas allowed 2 more open net goals and pretty much sealed their own fate with it. Do you think Vancouver will go much farther? How far?

Well you will be happy to know that Ottawa kicked my Penguins booties too! LOL I'll tell you, the Vancouver vs. Dallas game was truly a great competition. Face it, when you have to go all 7 rounds of play you KNOW you got your money's worth out of both teams!!!!!! This one was pretty heated too. Luongo, Canucks goalie, took offense to someone crashing him and really came close to a fight. To be honest I can't believe they let him go because it was a huge issue during these playoffs (goal crashing) that came with the change in rules this year.

I dunno. i've never really watched a whole lot of hockey, this is the first year i really got into it at all so i'm still learning all the rules, new and old. I always gotta ask my hubby lots of questions! I really enjoyed that game that dood was hopping on one foot on the ice. i mean that's gotta take talent! and then to try to smoke the other fool STILL on one foot! omg it was too much! i nearly woke up the baby laughing.

Although I live so close to Vancouver ( Seattle) and we don't have any NHL here..I usually don't cheer for the Canucks...I am a huge Colorado Av'sfan...and they missed the playoffs for the first time since 1998...But in the games between the Stars and the Canucks I have secretly been a closet Canucks fan!!! I don't know how far they'll go...but I dislike Dallas so much I just had to pic the lesser of 2 evils!!!! It will be interesting to see who takes Lord Stanley's Cup...!!

Even outside of playoffs I have issues picking teams. I have friends who play on various teams (one of the benefits of having an OHL team locally) and have watched many of these "kids" come up the ladder. So I really, honestly don't have a favorite "team" as much as I have favorite players (that I know and don't know personally) based on abilities, etc. To be honest my fave team is the Penguins. I also favor the Sabres because we're close in proximity and I've just always been a fan. I attend Pens games, Sabres games, Flyers games (although they're not one of my fave teams) & Leafs games. For the playoffs.... Buffalo and NJ are my 2 faves.

I'm not a huge Dallas fan either. But if I had to choose between one of the US teams or the Canadian I'd have to do my country justice! LOL Although I do love the leafs too, just AFTER some of my fave US teams! I love this time of year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just have to ask...who ARE you for now? I watched the Redwings game today...that was exciting...I'm no San Jose fan...so it didn't hurt to watch...I missed the Canucks game last night but saw some highlights...I'm not a Duck's fan either...So who's it going to be...or at least who are you routing for at this point?

I’m not sure…. I’m not a fan of either team now- The Ducks or the Cannucks- The Anaheim Ducks are seated 1 better than Vancouver—not that that means much. Being only about an hour and a bit from Buffalo- I’m cheering for the Sabres. I’m hoping that Buffalo makes it past the Rangers—I won’t worry about the Western division until (unless) the Sabres make it all the way through the Easter Division. Go Sabres!

Yeah, with me being 1 1/2 hours from Buffalo I have to cheer for them too. I always have liked them though and to be honest it would be a great boost for the team at this point with the new ownership, etc. going on.

Being a Flames fan I don't like Vancouver that much. But Being A Red Wing fan, I hate Dallas too. so I watched game seven just because it was a game seven. The Canucks are good and now they play Anaheim. I think they should beat The Ducks but I don;t know if they can beat either my Wings or San Jose. We shall see.

I'm cheering for Detroit now and I'm a huge fan of the Dominator. I don't care what anyone says, he still obviously has it since he's been tied for or been in 1st place in the goalie standings the entire season! I hope the Wings move on from this standpoint but I have to confess my faves out of the series are Buffalo and NJ so at some point I'll have to pick there too! LOL

I have a feeling he wouldn't really care anymore. It's not quite the same when most of the players you played with are gone and that's pretty much how Buffalo is now since Hasek has been gone. But it would be kind of ironic indeed. The only reason I would have difficulties choosing would be because I have 2 actual friends who play on NJ, although there's one guy I know from our team here in Erie that's on the Sabres but I'm not close to him. So I guess I'd have to cheer for NJ, just because of my buddies. It would be tough for me though!

Between NJ and Buffalo I would pick Buffalo. The Devils have been to the finals and have won what is 4 times since the late 90's? The only time I remember the Sabres going to the finals was 1999?. The tear when they met Dallas and Hull scored the "goal". Wouldn't it be interesting if Hasek meets The Sabres in the final?

LOL... I don't think Vancouver could have walked away alive from the rink with the crowd there. Home ice does have a huge advantage, especially when both teams are do or die situation. I'll let ya slide ... but I don't think we'll be seeing them too much longer. We shall see!!!!!! Good luck. I have to go with Buffalo and Jersey. Buffalo because of my location and NJ because one of my good friends plays for them. We shall see which one I really end up routing for in the end! LOL

I was watching the whole game.. The Canucks played the best game in this series. They deserve the win!! Dallas played well too. But their plays are dirty! Like Nagy hit Morrison from behind... As a Canucks I am more happy to see the Canucks won!! They will go all the way to the final and face the Sens for the Cup!! GOOOOOOO CANUCKS GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

I think both teams played the entire series well and the proof is in a need for 7 games. I think no matter who would have won, they would have deserved it and deserved it well. I'm not so sure what this is going to do to the Canucks in the long run because 7 games like that have got to take their toll. But, then again, many times you run on adrenalin until the end and then feel it all. I can't say I think you're right. Ottawa won't go any further then here. Next round they're walking home. But Canucks might have a chance to go on. Still don't think it's going to be the full walk to the cup though. We shall wait and see! :D
