Making your own "Boss Button"

I am curious to know if anyone has made their own boss button. Some of you may have seen an example of this during the March Madness (watching games on NCAAMadness.com) where it suddenly turns whatever your page is into something like a spreadsheet or word doc. I was wondering if anyone knew HOW TO make one or could share their's with us :). It would help ;P
