toque,can it be weared all season?

I have long hair and i drive every day. i am india there is so much pollution here,so i want to protect my hair from dust and sun . i thought of buying a toque,but the question is that -can it be worn at all seasons.right now its summer here. i dono and i dont want to wear it in summer and make fun of my self if it can not be worn on summers.
