Diciplining your children

Whats your method? Do you think the way you dicipline your children has anything to do with how you were diciplined as a child?

If they are not disciplined the following systems are adopted:
1. I do not give magazines to children to read
2. In shopping list, their favourite items will not be included
3. No Television for one day
4. Week end dine out is cancelled
Of the two, if one does not listen, the punishment is for two. We hardly have any problem teaching them discipline to them.
