I think that the helmets look dumb and are awkward on my head, so I never wear one. It's not like I ride my bike recklessly, so I don't think that I even really need one. I might if I rode in a more busy area then my neighborhood though. they are good protection.

Driving with a helmet is always safe but i would always prefer to drive without a helmet. The helmet feels like a burden sometimes when you are constantly getting off your bike to get your work done. For journeys without any intermediate stops i prefer helmets.
