One night - by billiep The alarm rings it's 7 am, Annie doesn't want to wake up, she knows it will be a slow horrid day, but still she drags her limp body to the shower. Cold water rushes through her tired and limp bones, "I'm weary fo my life" She's talking to herself again. She get's dressed. She stops and stares at herself for one minute. "How grotesque am I?" She thinks to herself. She grabs a vase and hurls it to the mirror, it's broken, into so many pieces, just like her. The mirror it's broken, ruined, destroyed, like me, unrepairable. She feels her knees weakening. She falls to the floor, she can't move. "I'm paralayzed" she says, "How insane am I?" She retorts to herself. A man enters her room. He sees Annie still not dressed, he panics, he holds her, she can feel his warmth. "Do you love me?" she asks, "I do with all my heart" he replies. He's scared he might lose her again. She closes her eyes, hums a song and tells him a story, a story of how she got broken. One day, no one was home, she hears someone humming a tune, she thinks to herself what a catchy song, she runs toward the sound, she sees him, "Come here" he beckons. He holds her, caressing her arms, shoulders, face, back , her whole body, she was unable to move, "I was 6 Louie" She tell him. He was about to speak, she stopped him, she continued her story. His hand, was big and rough, he ushered Annie to his room. He held Annie ans striped her. She felt him, He tried to go in, Annie was scared, she kicked him and ran. She locked herself in her room. He knocked "Honey what's wrong, it's just daddy". She was confused, she felt herself wither away. Years have gone, he kept knocking. She was 16 when she truly fell inlove and eloped. She never told him her story until now. "I was 6, he took everything from me". " I was 6 when my very innocence was taken from me by force". I hate him. He could feel her anger. He took Annie in her arms. "I love you, I won't let anyone break you again, I will repair you, I will put back all the pieces". She felt his warmth. She cried. She was loved. 20 years have passed, she has not returned home. She has found a new home, a lovable husband and wonderful kids. She has cursed her family and now she's at peace. She no longer recalls her horrid days as a young woman, recalling her past. She looks forward to the future. Her husband has repaired her, he was able to put back all the pieces, just like he said he would. -end-

Sometimes it's best to go far away and never look back. Home is not always located where you came from, but rather, the place you create in your heart.
