I recenty got a new siberian husky, and I've found so far that their personalities are quite unique. My husky, Stoli, seems to have only two modes: run, and sleep. The way they play also seems to be quite unique. Stoli seems to have very large mood swings, some days being completely friendly and wanting to be with people all the time and the next day just wanting to sit down and sleep all day. Any similar experiences?

Yes Huskies love you when they feel like it. Mine I always describe as cat-like

Huskies are an interesting breed. They always want human or canine companionship since they are a pack dog. Right now, my two adult Huskies want to be off by themselves mostly until the puppies start making some noise and then they have to investigate. My 6 husky puppies are always sleeping and when they do wake up it's in full blown play mode. They play and play until they drop where they stand. We find puppies in the strangest places..lol. It's a wonderful breed to have but hard to take care of sometimes as they have to be walked several times a day or at least be in some area that they can run safely. The only way that I've found to keep mine from running away all the time to walk, walk and walk them some more. Never trust them off their leashes and no matter how cute and innocent they look...they will find an escape route. Good luck and enjoy! To me, being owned by a husky is a wonderful experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything. :-)
