Here is the story: A few weeks ago my family was over at my fiance's parents house for a bbq. My little sister (who is 8) was outside by herself and went to pet their German Shepherd (who has been aggressive before) and he bit her face! Thank God she didn't need stitches but he bit her none the less. Now here is the problem, they refuse to admit that hes mean and either tie him up when people are around or put him down! My family didn't want to cause a lot of problems because she didn't need stitches but they don't want to go over there anymore and I dont blame them! How do I handle this situation? Do i just make up excuses whenever me and my family are invited over? Or do I tell them that they don't like to be around the dog anymore and would come over if he was not there?

Tell them the truth. When your family gets invited over ask if they can tie up the dog cause of what happened last time and say that your sister is afraid of the dog and the family is worried the dog might bite again. I think that is better then making excuses all the time when they are invited over. I am sure they will understand if you tell them the truth

Thank you. I hope they understand... if not I wont be able to help but get even more angry!
