is irony a human nature?

I find people are more sophisticated in satirizing than praising. When you do a wonderful job, people always just simply say "it's ok" instead of expressing their truely pleasant feeling, but if you screw it up, thousands of ironic words will beat you up and push you into the hell. What is wrong with that? Also, I realize people usually like to hear something bad happened to others, it seems that it can make them high. What is that problem? Is it a human nature?

That is not True Human Nature, is Human Behavior, that masquerades as Human Nature, among those who don't, can't or won't realize that they actually have the Power of Choice, in their Words, Actions and Thoughts... How much Power they waste by not thinking for themselves... and the opportunity to have more Love, well, you can see how that's shamefully wasted... Maybe yes. I do find people from North China use more ironic words than people from South China. It's not right or wrong, but just their different culture and different way of showing their emotions. I am from Northeast of China, and I know people there don't show appreciation or praises often, especailly to some close friends, for they believe they don't need to do so, which I don't agree with. And when they give comments, they are very direct and would like to add more personal emotions and use ironic words to make them vivid. Sometimes they don't mean it, so pls don't take their words too serious... Well, seems people from south China are more gentle and considerate, they like encouraging others and flattering others, they will say lots of good words to you ,even they don't mean it... Which one do you prefer?

i dont think it is true that all people are very fond of scrutinizing others. i would not like to believe that so. there are people who i know, and who does give compliments to people who does well. people who are just always trying to see the worst or mistakes of others are just insecure being.
