A career in the medical field. Will it drive you crazy?

Hi Mylot, I would like your point of view on this subject. I am a nurse and I am futher my career to become an RN. Well everytime someone gets sick in my family I always think of the varies reasons of what can be wrong. For example if my son has a cough I think right off that it could be many things. I have only been working in the medical field for about a year now and I am starting to overcome this little phase. Do you think that the medical field is for me. Remind you I always had a great passion for nursing!

I think you would do fine. Caring is the hallmark of a medical person. Recently I had a male nurse when in the hospital after my housefire and he had the best caring attitude. That makes the difference and you will do great. I would hope that if I would need medical help you would be on the front line of my reciept of such care. Good luck in all you do.
