I was just wondering what the star above the user name means. I got one when I hit 100 posts, but not sure what it means. Does anyone know?

The posts above the user name shows the rating of which he got. I believe a 10 star rating is the best. A star rating of 1 is obviously the worst. This shows once a user has reached 100 posts. When I got my star, I was surprised to see a 10 star rating next to my name. Well, at least you've reached yours. Good job, keep up the good work!

Thank you everyone for such a quick and wonderful response to my question. I didn't know we were rated on the posts we created. Thanks for the info.

congratulations on reaching your 100 posts. and wow, your star rating looks great! :) the 10 star rating or mylot reputation, reflects how mylot users rate the quality of your discussions, responses and comments. tis is from 0 to 10, with 10 being the highest. and you got a 10 star rating on your first star so mylot users must find your posts of quality. :) you also have a percentage of 96/100... that's how much (+) positive ratings you received from mylot users. goodluck! keep doing quality posts. :)

The star represents a percentage of your comments that have been rated positively. From your star it tells me that your replies are good ones and people have respondedwell to them.
