My first child was early on everything walking at 10 months, sitting at 5, crawling at 6, everything was early she is very advanced for her age. My second baby took longer she was sitting at 7, crawling at 11 and is almost ready to walk at 13 i feel the reason for this is that i devoted more time to my first since it was only her back then, but now having 2 kids its alittle more difficult. Was your first child more advanced? I feel that my second will eventually learn from the first which will help her alot she wants to walk like her big sister, so what do you think about this?

My son was physically advanced, he was walking at nine months, he's also very strong. But he's behind in verbal skills. I hear that first children are more advanced because you have more one on one time with them, but they catch up in the long run.

I only have 1 child for the moment but i see a lot of similarities with her & your 1st - although my daughter was never one for sitting on her own, i don't know why :) Crawling at 6 months, walking a little after 8 months & she's been saying Mum since just after 5 months. She has a vocabulary of about 6 or 7 words at 10 months so i guess she's coming along well. I hope our 2nd one is just as advanced but i see what you mean about having all the time for the 1st one but when there are 2, you need to give both time & energy! I makes sense to have the 2nd one not be as quick at thing as the first one was!
