I have been thinking aloud- I had a very close friend who was wedding recently and needed financial help. He has very well-to-do brothers in both private bussines and government service. To the surprise of all of us, these blood relations did not come forth to give financial hand to their brother. We the friends stood by him, formed fundraisng committees and successfully made this wedding not only possible, but also very successful! I want to know your thoughts: are friends sometimes more caring than blood relations?

I certainly think my friends are more caring than my blood relations. My family didn't do much for me, and in fact were very abusive. It's often misunderstood by people who don't know my whole history when I say that I love my friends care more than my family, but I have friends that have stood by me in some very tough times. I always say "Blood might be thicker than water, but it's a lot easier to choke on." =p

In the situation your friend is in seems like the friends are more caring.I haven't experienced anything like it.I have a friend who family does her dirty but her friends will come to her rescue before family. EX:She needed pampers for her baby, but her mom wouldnt buy them instead her friend bought them.HOw SAD.
