how to have a successful married life?

I´m not an expert, I´ve only been with my husband for 4.5 years, but here are a few of the things that have helped us through the rough spots. Don´t be too proud to say you are sorry. When you´re mad about something, you don´t want to apologise, but it really can make all the difference in the world. If you know you´re wrong, you should say sorry. And sometimes when you´re not! Make a point of cuddling and doing stuff together. That might sound easy right now that you are at the beginning, but trust me, after kids and work and life get in the way, you won´t have a lot of couple time. It is really, really easy to drift apart and it takes effort to not let that happen. Having a date night once a week is a big help. Keep separate money. They say that money is one of the primary causes of divorce and I believe it. Make sure that you have mine, yours, and ours in the finance department. If not, you can end up very resentful of the other person, it is super important to have at least a little of your own spending money that you don´t have to account for. Hope this helps. Good luck! :D
